I would appreciate any information from members who served in NW Europe 1944-45 with the 6th battalion. My uncle 3319895 Private John Turner Burns joined the unit on 29 Jan 1940 and served through until his death in action on 18 April 1945 on Luneburg Heath. He rests in Becklingen CWG Cemetery, I have managed to visit his grave twice whilst serving in Germany and would like to hear from any member who served with him. I would particularly welcome information on his last action.
Thank you.Gwyn Burrows
