I'm trying to find any information regarding a possible relative who served with the HLI during the Great War. I came across an entry on the CWGC website. As our surname is very uncommon I am wondering if we could be related.

His name is J (John?) Pitbladdo. service no; 43003.

He died on the 18th November 1916 during the assualt on Frankfurt Trench, Beaumont-Hamel, on the Somme and is buried in the Frankfurt Trench Military Cemetery Grave No; C.24. He doesn't appear to be on the "Soldiers Died in the Great War" database.

Any information or links to further searches would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bryan Pitbladdo
