I am trying to find any information on a William Batchelor who was in the 12th Battalion. I have found his medal index card, but that is all. I am in Australia and some of the information is not available online. His regimental/service number was 8000. I am trying to track down his parents/next of kin. Hoping you can help and thanking you in advance Leanne Batchelor Bathurst NSW Australia.

Hello,

Could anyone guide me on the best way of finding any information on Private Rowland Williams Edwards 30/08/13, army number 3325089.

Private Edwards was enlisted 14/6/40 and served in 2nd Battalion Highland Light Infantry.

I am in possession of his pay book and other artefacts including 39/45 Star, Italy Star, Africa Star, war medal and defence medal.

I would appreciate any information or where I could obtain information on service history postings etc.

Best regards

Carl Price, Grandson

I would appreciate any information from members who served in NW Europe 1944-45 with the 6th battalion. My uncle 3319895 Private John Turner Burns joined the unit on 29 Jan 1940 and served through until his death in action on 18 April 1945 on Luneburg Heath. He rests in Becklingen CWG Cemetery, I have managed to visit his grave twice whilst serving in Germany and would like to hear from any member who served with him. I would particularly welcome information on his last action.

Thank you.

Gwyn Burrows
